Berivo Privacy Policy
Berivo brings together the Preview Room feed, Studio profiles, Fresh Notes, image and clip publishing, and credit-based Spotlight actions. This policy explains how Berivo handles profile details, user content, payment records, and device permissions when you browse, publish, react to, or promote entries.
Your voice and audio choices
If you record a clip inside Berivo, the app requests microphone access so that your clip can include live audio. Raw microphone capture is used only while you are recording, previewing, and preparing the clip on your device. If you discard the clip, the temporary audio is deleted at the end of the session or within 24 hours from local temporary storage, whichever happens first.
If you publish the clip, its audio becomes part of your user content and is retained with that clip until you remove the entry or request account deletion. Our legal basis for handling microphone data is your consent through device permission and our contract with you to provide clip publishing.
Your payment and Credits records
When you top up Credits or use Spotlight, Berivo processes purchase state, product identifiers, transaction records, and your current credit balance. Payment card handling is managed by platform billing providers, and Berivo does not store full card numbers. We keep purchase and credit ledger records for up to 7 years to meet accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
The legal basis for payment processing is contract fulfillment for credit purchases and legal obligation for financial record retention.
Your profile and community data
We collect the account information and community content you choose to provide, including display name, profile bio, profile image, published photo sets, published clips, Fresh Notes, follow relationships, blocked-account records, and report submissions. We also process interaction data such as likes, note counts, and Spotlight usage tied to an entry.
This information is used to operate your Studio profile, display the Preview Room feed, restore your entries, support moderation, and keep account-level controls such as follow, report, and block actions working. The legal basis here is contract fulfillment to run the service and legitimate interest in keeping community features safe and usable.
Your camera and photo access
Berivo requests camera access so you can capture profile photos, preview images, or clip entries, and photo library access so you can select portraits, photo sets, and clips to publish. The files you choose are processed to create posts, thumbnails, and profile visuals. If you cancel before publishing, unused local selections are removed from temporary app storage within 24 hours.
The legal basis for this processing is your consent through device permissions and our contract with you to provide upload and publishing features.
Your analytics and advertising choices
If you allow tracking, Berivo uses tracking-related data to recommend more relevant creators, understand Spotlight performance, and measure feed engagement. We retain event-level analytics and attribution records for up to 13 months unless a shorter retention period is required by law.
The legal basis for tracking is your consent, which you can withdraw through your device settings at any time.
Your information we collect
- Account and profile data such as display name, bio, profile image, and login state.
- User content such as photo sets, clips, Fresh Notes, likes, follows, and report submissions.
- Purchase and credit data such as product IDs, transaction states, and credit balances.
- Permission-linked media data such as selected photos, recorded clips, and related thumbnails.
- Analytics and device usage data when you permit tracking.
Your information in use
- To authenticate your account and restore your Studio profile.
- To display, publish, moderate, and remove Preview Room entries.
- To process Spotlight actions, top-ups, and related purchase validation.
- To support blocked-account management, report workflows, and abuse prevention.
- To improve recommendations and Spotlight measurement when tracking is allowed.
Your retention windows
- Account profile data: kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days after a verified deletion request, except where law requires longer retention.
- Published posts, clips, and Fresh Notes: kept until you remove them or delete your account, with backup copies deleted within 30 additional days.
- Blocked-account and moderation records: kept for up to 24 months to investigate repeat abuse and safety reports.
- Temporary upload files and discarded media: deleted at session end or within 24 hours.
- Crash, diagnostic, and analytics logs: kept for up to 90 days unless tracking-related records require a longer disclosed period.
- Purchase and tax records: kept for up to 7 years.
Your third-party service categories
Berivo relies on third-party service categories such as platform billing providers, cloud storage and hosting providers, analytics and attribution services, content delivery tooling, and customer support communications infrastructure. We disclose only the data each provider category needs to perform its service for Berivo.
Your rights and requests
You may request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal data, or object to certain processing, by emailing support@berivo.com with the subject line “Berivo Privacy Request - Your Name”. We aim to verify and respond within 30 days. If your request concerns tracking consent, you can also update that choice in device settings.
Your children’s privacy
Berivo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data to Berivo, contact support@berivo.com so we can review and remove the information.
Your notice about policy changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you through the app or another appropriate channel before the changes take effect. The date below will also change when those updates are published.
